Here is the problem.

I have an object (Department) which has a private attribute (java.util.Date) with the following getters/setters.

public void setOpenDate(Date);
public String getOpenDate();

The reason we need a String in return type in getOpenDate() is we are converting the date to a diffrent format.

The problem is when I use servicegen task to create a webservice from a stateless session bean using Department object, it's not showing in .wsdl file.

I am getting the following warning in servicegen task.
[servicegen] WARNING: ignoring bean property "openDate"

However the same thing works with WebLogic Workshop.

Any ideas?
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
