User profiles - where are they stored?

Really stupid question... When someone creates a property within a user profile, where does WLS81 store it? Is it in the included PointBase db (in its default configuration)?

When you say user profile do you mean the user profile that can be enabled in WLP? WLS by itself out of the box stores all user information in the embedded LDAP server. When you add WLP in the mix the user login information is stored in LDAP and the rest in the Pointbase database (again, fresh OOTB).

everything about the security realm and users, roles, groups are stored with encryption in the embedded LDAP server with WebLogic NOT pointbase databse.

Joe - assuming that you mean with Portal take a look at the Portal personlization data dictionary. I've personally never been a fan of this database design but it's all stored there.
