Dear Sir,

I see that your book explains 23 patterns.

What criteria did you use to choose those patterns you did ?

Thanks.

Dear Ludoviko,
Thanks for the question.
The book describes only those patterns which were included in the GOF book.

Shalloway and Trott claim to have an additional pattern which they call Object Pool. I presume you don't describe that, then. Do you describe any anti‑patterns?

Dear Mainak Biswas,

Even though your book explains the same 23 patterns included in the GOF book I am sure your perspective is different and your approach is much better. At that time I found that it was difficult to follow the GOF explanations in spite of being a classic in the subject.

Glad that the book served some use to you. Thanks Ludoviko. I plan to repost your comment on to the Facebook fan page and also on the homepage. Hope that is fine with you, let me know otherwise.

Dear Mainak Biswas,

Needles to say that "classic" books demand newer and fresher reinterpretations and Computer Science is not an exception.

Please go ahead, you can repost my assertion.
