Hi there!

I've searched the internet and I couldn't find a real answer. I'm currently in Germany, and I want to take my exam here, but will I be able to choose English as the exam language? Or is the language country dependent? I mean, I'm just nervous that I will find myself in the exam room and obligated to take it in deutsch. My deutsch is Ok-ish, but I don't want to risk it...

Thanks in advance!
Alex

As I understand it you can choose your preferred language.

I live in the United States so I actually don't know. I've added a bunch of flags though to call attention to this question; I'm curious. I bet Roel knows!

Although I live in a country with three official languages (Dutch, French and German) I can't remember having encountered any certification exam (and I did a few of them ) in another language than English. I also don't know if the OCAJP exam is available in e.g. French or German. I do know it's available in (modern) Spanish.

When I logged in to Pearson VUE website and gone through the wizard to schedule an exam, the first step was (obviously) select the exam you want to take. I selected the OCAJP8 certification exam. The next step was "Select Exam Language" and I only had 2 possible options: English and Spanish-Modern. And your language selection is confirmed on the third step ("Exam Details"). So I would be really surprised and shocked if I entered the exam room and the exam would be in German or French or any other language than the one I selected when scheduling my exam.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel
