This sounds stupid, but have you tried restarting Eclipse? That sometimes got rid of the same error for me.

If not, can you check the Eclipse log file? It's located in your workspace, folder .metadata, fole .log.

Very stupid.

I installed latest version of Eclipse and I get the same exception.

Have you tried installing Maven (it's just unzipping into a directory) and running the build at the command line. This will determine if the problem is specific to Eclipse. (And give you a workaround if it is.)

Can you try with IntelliJ?
I just made a new IntelliJ project with maven and used the specified pom file, and it downloaded all the dependencies fine.

Dana Ucaed: When you post XML code, like a POM file, be sure to UseCodeTags.  Set the code to XML, select the XML text and click the code button.  I've done it for you this time.

Ok, thanks Jeanne.

It is the first date when I post an XML file in a post.

I resolved. I close the project without to delete the project from disk.

I reopened the project and I added my dependency in my POM file.
