I got this question by email:

 Hello,

        I just wanted to report and error on page xxxiii question 7:

This cannot compile with Java 1.8:

List<Integer> list = new ArrayList<>();

Should be:

List<Integer> list = new ArrayList<Integer>();

Otherwise review the answer on page xl.

This code is correct. <> is the diamond operator. It was introduced in Java 7. If that doesn't compile for you, check if you are compiling in Java 1.6 mode.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
