Hello friends,as we know Java 9 is supposed to release on 21st September 2017.
So I have a few questions:
i)After how many days/months of release of Java 9 will OCAJP 9 certification start?
ii) Should I wait for OCAJP 9 ? or take OCAJP 8?
iii) If I should wait and take OCAJP 9+OCPJP 9 or take OCAJP 8 now and OCPJP 9(when it releases) ?
And what is the difference between both?

If Java 9 happens with about the same timeline then you may have to wait a half a year or more after Java 9 is released before you try to become Java 9 certified.

Jeanne wrote this back in  August 2017:

March 18, 2014 - Java8 released
August 31, 2014 - OCA 8 beta opens
April 28, 2015 - OCP 8 beta opens

Even with Java 9 just around about to be out Java 8 will still be here for a few more years.

I'm pretty sure that Oracle and Pearson Vue are still offering Java 6 testing as noted here:
Just Google for 1Z0-850 pearson vue and it should be one of the first results.
And Java 6 was last updated 2012 according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_version_history

Before you purchase any material for your OCA prep you may want to check out

To see what others have used and how they prepared.

This could save you time, money and frustration.

Just take OCAJP8 and OCPJP8. When Java 9 certification exams are available, you can upgrade to OCPJP9.
