The Firebase tools generally evolve at such a rate that it would be difficult for the book to stay in sync. For example, not included on your list is the Firebase Cloud Firestore, which is a kind of easier-to-use version of the Realtime Database which has been released in the last few days. About a year ago, there was a major revamp of the Realtime Database when it was folded more into the Google realm, and that change was incompatible with the previous version, so all-in-all we felt it safer to leave it out for now. Maybe it's one for the *third* edition :-)

Thanks, yeah that makes sense.
I sure that within the next few months things will be updated and there will be samples of using these services with Kotlin if there aren't any currently.
Speaking of a year ago very few people were using Kotlin, now many people are exclaiming it's values and virtues.
Thanks quick response.
