Yes, absolutely. This is one of our primary goals with Head First Agile – to help people change the way they think about agile. The Head First approach lends itself really well to this, because it let us first show what it looks like when people on a team have trouble with their mindset, and then show how how changing the way they think about the way they do their work can make a real, substantial change in what they do.
We talk about this from the very beginning of the book. Here's a picture from page 6, where Kate (a PM) and Mike (a developer) have two very different mentalities when it comes to holding a daily standup meeting:
