could you please tell me how to create database connection pool using web logic. lam getting an exception saying that Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection. i shall tell u how i had created it after entering user name and password in my login page of web logic go for data sources--->configure a new data source. Name:MyJDBC Data Source JNDI Name:slsb --->continue configure a new JDBC Connection Pool... > Database Type :-o racle Database Type:thin driver Continue...> Name:my database Database Name :-o racle Host Name:local host Port:1526 Database User Name:Scott Password:tiger ...>test driver configuration Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection ] could you please tell me how to configure its urgent.............. :roll: :cool: :eek: :pissed:

Is your database name really "oracle"?
"local host" should be "localhost" or is this a
red herring
Can you access this database from same machine and using toad or sqlplus (or whatever you use to access databases) with this connection information?
