how to make REST client of my own to communicate with browser?

Hello,I have a REST client and server service written in java for shopping cart,I am able to send a request from the client to the server,I wanted to know if the client service can be called through the browser?I/m a newbie so any suggestions would help!

What do you mean by "client service", and what do you mean by "calling it through the browser"?

Its a java program which has its own GUI and when corresponding buttons like add to cart is pressed its sending the request to the server,is there a way to get an access to this gui from the browser from any systems which are connected to my LAN?

Unless your client accepts HTTP or AJAX requests, probably not. Even if it does, why not send those requests directly to the REST API on the server?

If it's really ReST, you can usually just type in the ReST request as a URL in your browser navigation bar.

That only works for GET-type requests, though.

For other types such as POST, you either have to build a form (which can be a local file) or use a utility such as "curl" to make the request.
