I'm trying to create a datasource in weblogic 9.2. I get to a
screen where I can test my datasource, but I got an exception
thrown due to an inability to find the mysql*.jar file containing
the driver. Can anyone tell me where this file goes? Presently,
I think I moved it to BEA_HOME/common/lib

I am running weblogic on a dell 1721 laptop with Ubuntu 7.X OS.
Are there any environment variables that need to be set in my
.cshrc file?

Thanks,

John

Did you update web logic classpath to include the location of the JDBC driver classes?

No, I haven't. I'll try that and see what happens.

Thanks,

Normally, you would place the JAR file in /APP-INF/lib.

Why? I keep them in WL_HOME\server\lib folder

I did read somewhere in the WL Documentation
that it should go in the ~/server/lib folder, I
just can't remember where I read it!

Thanks to those who responded.

Hi,

my suggestion is to place the driver files under ${DOMAIN_HOME}/lib this will place the jar automatically on the classpath of all servers created for this domain.

Marcos is absolutely right. Put it int he /lib directory of the domain. The server classpath will be automatically adjusted to include these files!

All,

Ok, thanks. I'll try that and get back after I do.
I figured it would go in some lib folder, but there
were a couple so I wasn't sure.
