Our application users are currently facing issue while uploading files. Sometimes Upload process takes too long to upload like 3-4 hours. Currently user selects a directory from his file system with maximum size limit of 20GB. As coded in our application, all the files in the directory gets added and then uploaded to our server on button click. This is implemented using resumableJS. Now, I'm planning to zip the files on client side after the directory is selected by user, before it gets uploaded to server. Is there anyway I can achieve it? Or any other viable solution to this problem? Please suggest.

I did some poking around and perhaps the JSZip project will be useful to you.
