Hi,

While running mvn release:prepare on trunk creates a new tag and updates the trunk with next version right?
Is there a way to inform the release prepare command to just create a new tag but not to update the trunk with next snapshot version??

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Deepu

Welcome to CodeRanch!

Try setting the developmentVersion property to ${project.version}?

No luck, still it updates the trunk with the project.version

Do you mean the new version that is set in the POM in your working directory?

Can you show me your POM?
