Do you know whether WebSphere 3.5.x Standard or Advanced will run on an NT4 Workstation (sp6a)? I'm interested in doing so just for learning purposes, not for operating a web server or application that other people might access.
I know IBM lists NT4 Server as a requirement.

We have the Enterprise Edition 3.2 (the previous version) running on NT4 workstation, so I am almost sure that the 3.5 editions also run on NT4 workstation. Remember that you need a lot of memory if everything is running on the same machine because otherwise it is very very slow. 256 Mb is not enough, 512 Mb should do I think.

Thanks. WAS 3.5 AE is working under NT on a 256k machine. I only intend to use this machine for learning, so I'm hoping 256 will get me through.
For anyone else trying this, I'll be posting things I learned that I didn't see in the documentation. However, since they'll sometimes be under existing topics, you might need to search this forum for entries under my name to find them.
