Well, what do you think that line 5 means, if it were valid?

Which version of Java SE certification exam are you preparing for?  Why are you referring that old Java book since there have been changes in Java from version to version ?

You can read my story of people who have already passed the exam, to know what methods and resources they have used in

At the beginning everyone goes through this situation nothing to worry    but did you ponder on SVH's question in the previous post?

That doesn't explain why you are sitting an out of date exam, as Ganesh has already asked.

This is an older version of Java certification exam. If I'm not wrong that exam has already been retired Oracle: Retiring Certification Exams on May 31, 2018.

I would recommend to go for OCAJP 8 ( Java SE 8 Programmer I | 1Z0-808 ) for now since It's the latest version available whose syllabus incorporates basics of Java, OOPs concepts and basics of new features introduced in Java 8 like Lambdas and new Date Time API ...

After passing this exam you can go for OCPJP 8 ( Java SE 8 Programmer II | 1Z0-809 ) . To become an Oracle Certified Professional you have to pass both the exams.

Always refer official website of Oracle for latest changes of the exam, could be about time, passing marks Or number of questions.

You can search anything regarding these exams you will find abundant threads with precious information. Worth reading --> SearchFirst and The Java™ Tutorials

Indeed, that's really good strategy. Did you get the line no 5 and 6?
