I installed an ssd in a hard drive caddy that fits where my cd drive was. I’ve been unable to use the version of Linux mint that I installed on it. The bios doesn’t even recognize that it’s there and can be booted from. I’ve used another toshiba laptop that needed some special configuration in the BIOS to boot from a thumb drive, but I don’t know what to do about this. The ssd is a pny 120 gb ssd.

Please explain how you installed Linux on your laptop. Or maybe you got it to work, in which case tell us how.
