Project Management could be defined as the process of planning, executing, managing and finishing a single team task, or a group of inter-linked tasks within specified constraints to achieve certain objectives. Different software applications are used by project managers to monitor project tasks and activities, or to save project data in desired file formats. Microsoft Project and Primavera are two of the most known applications for this purpose, with MPP and MPX being notable project management file formats.
