How do I deply servlets in Websphere 4.0..where do you copy the class files etc.

u have to put it in a war file, do the servlet mappings give the context web root and then deploy the war file. u can create the war file using the AAT tool.

If you use Websphere Stadio, just put all Java Class files to a /Servlet directory, then right click the mouse, change the properties of the directory's deploy path to the class path on the server.

What actually is the context root.
for eg : i have given context root as webapp/testexample
whats the meaning of this.
Does it create a folder as webapp
