I developed an apllication which is perfectly running in weblogic 6.1. But when i try it to deploy in websphere 4.0 , it throws some error- parser exception while reading web.xml file.
Whether the web.xml in websphere and in the weblogic are different? If yes, what needs to be changed to deploy it in websphere ?
Any one can give me list of issues which needs to be looked after for making the application portable across websphere4.0 and weblogic6.1 ?
thanks

Well, remember that WebSphere 4.0 is running Servlet 2.2 while WebLogic 6.1 is runnign Servlet 2.3. There are some differences in the specs. If you are trying to use a Servlet 2.3 feature (like filters) then that obviously won't work in a Servlet 2.2 environment. I'd check your web.xml against the Servlet 2.2 spec and then try again.
