Hello eveybody,

I'm trying to implement Jquery chosen's plugin with my Angular 7 application.  This application must have the look and feel of a previous application that was made in Java.  It has the same CSS.  My problem is that it seems that when I want to set the value by programtion of a specific chosen dropdown, it's doing nothing.  I don't understand, it doesn't even create a Javascript error.

Here is what I'm trying to do.  I have a calendar field and a dropdown to display the age group of that person.  It must be  automatically set when somebody is selecting a date.  I have already the function that returns the right age.  It's just that all the jquery code I worte doesn,t seem to affect the dropdown.

Here is was it's looking like :

It can change the span, but it's not affecting the submitted value, can you help ?
