what si the best way to get going on creating my own costume windows 10 applications for my own uses? example can a gui with button that chooses folder and renamaes everything numerically or inserts prefix.
so for i started with visual studio c sharp and windows forms. is there a better way?

I find Windows Forms is easy for simple applications, and if your application stays simple, this is fine.

WPF is the way of the future though for user interfaces, and you may want to consider using that if your requirements become more complex.
