Hi. Can someone please tell me why some values such as firstName, bookGenre and weight are been stored as Null? I think firstName has no difference of lastName code so it should work properly but it doesnt.

Take a look at this code. What is authorFirstName the first time you run the code? Do you see why it would never enter this if statement? By contrast lastName uses a correct value in the guard so it gets set.
