maven profile and spring property values depending on environment

I posted https://coderanch.com/t/718560/maven/build-tools/maven-profile-spring-property#3355417.  And yes it was not a good example since it involves Database connection.  What happened was ---- I had this question of using some environment dependent values in spring applicationContxt.xml and maven build.  I used some ready code I got from internet as an example.  My real code isn't  even ready yet, but I had that question in my mind so I used that code as an example.   Please assume the spring property isn't database connection pool.
