Hello All,
I am new to Websphere. I am trying to use CMP deployed in Websphere 5.0. I have created a datasource that accesses Oracle 9i database (using Oracle thin driver)
I could access the database in servlet and jsp using JNDI lookup to the datasource. But when I try to access the same database from a CMP entity bean it cannot get the connection from the pool and throws ResourceAdapter Exception.
** While creating datasource, I have selected the option use the datasource in Container Managed Persistence'. While deploying, I mapped the CMP to this datasource.
I guess there is some problem in the settings while deploying the CMP bean but I am not able to figure it out.
Can anybody help me??

I also has the same problem. I follow the example in EJB2.0 Development with Websphere Studio
Application Developer Integration Edition V5 redbook using the Oracle 9i DB.
I have accepted the resourec adapter error when I testing the enterprise
bean (CMP) using Universal test client on page 424. When I invoke the
findByPrimaryKey method with the 100-1001, I receive the following error
message. I don't know how to solved the problem

Looks like your datasource is not correcltly configured on your server configuration. Check to see if you updated the server security. I think you'll find you need to create a user login definition in the server configuration which you use/ref in the datasource.

These are not the droids you are looking for. Perhaps I can interest you in a tiny ad?
