I am currently using WSAD 4 and am starting to look at migrating to WSAD 5. I attended a presentation by Bill Hahn on WSAD 5 and am very impressed with the improvments that IBM has incorporated. I have WSAD 5 installed on a test machine where I am trying out the new features. I am still using WSAD 4 on my "normal" machine in the meantime, making the necessary application changes. I have some questions about v5:
I am nervous about migrating my code to v5. To this point, I have only created "testing" apps in v5 to try out the new features. In v4, we use CVS. I read the migration guide, which says to check all your code into a new stream in CVS. I have tried this, but when I do "Synchronize with Stream", it doesn't give me an option of which stream I want to synchronize with. I am hesitant to open the project in v5 because the migration guide says that when a project is opened in v5 it can no longer be opened in v4. I want to make sure that I can still get to my code in v4.
I know a "feature" is that all files that you open are visible in every perspective that you switch to. Personally, I prefer the way v4 worked: the files you open are only open in the perspective that you originally opened them in. Is there anyway to make v5 act like v4 in this case?
The templates for Java seem very helpful. Is there a way to enable the Java templates when you are writing a JSP?
Is is possible to change the background color of the JSP editor? There is a place in Preferences to set the background color for the Java editor, but I haven't found a place for the JSP editor.
The WSAD 5 Programming Guide mentions that there are help files to detail each of the preferences and their options. I have searched help, however, and haven't found them. Has anyone else had luck finding this documentation?
I turned on line numbers for Java and JSP editors. However, they take up considerably more room in the editor than in v4. Is there a way to reduce the margin for the line numbers?
I experimented with the feature of opening a new window in WSAD. After doing so, I edited the open file in both windows and saw that the changes in the second editor were reflected in the first editor, even before the file was saved. Pleased with this, I exited the second window without saving the file changes. When I returned to the first window, the toolbars had disappeared. The only way I could retrieve the toolbars was to close WSAD and restart. Is this a known problem in v5?
I'm using CVS version 1.11 in v4. I can't find it mentioned in the documentation: is this version still supported, or does v5 require an upgrade to my CVS server?
Thanks for your help.

I want to know too! I liked v4 in this aspect.

Does anyone have any resolutions to our concerns listed above? I appreciate feedback from those of you who have already migrated to WSAD 5. Thanks!
