Anyone paying especially close attention to the
Oracle's Java 1Z0-819 Exam objectives, might have noticed the page was offline for a few days and then 1-2 days after it came back had a slightly different set of objectives. First off, don't panic! While the objectives have changed (there's a new one), the content is actually the same:
The first objective "Working with text values, primitives, wrapper classes and enumerators" was renamed to "Working with Java data types"The subobjective "Create and use enumerations" was moved to "Java Object-Oriented Approach"The subobjective "Use local variable type inference, including as lambda parameters" was moved to "Working with Java data types""Create and use loops, if/else, and switch statements" was made a new top-level objective, it was previously a subobjectiveThe subobjectives of "Secure Coding in Java SE Application" were combined from 3 to 2, with the content staying the same
There are also some various language changes in a number of objectives but they do not affect scope. Really, none of these changes influence scope, but since the number of objectives and subobjectives changed, I decided to list the changes here.
