Dears,
I have migraed an application from Visual Age to WASD4.0.3.It runs perfectly, but when i try to install it on WebSphere Application Server using the Admin Console every thing works fine until it asks for regenerate deployed code.Yes or No. If I say yes it stops deployment saying that there was an error while deploying the EJB.If i choose No it gets deployed correctly. Is there something wrong in my code?? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for any insights,
Sudeep

We had this problem as well. Somehow the deploy code generator that comes with the 'console' process to deploying applications does not do the job properly. I have posted this on other forums before and not received any satisfactory reply. Nor does documentation tell anything abt it.
We have since moved to the route of using Ant from with WSAD to gen. the deploy code before installing it on the app server.

Hi Nagendra
Could you please give me more details as to how you used ant to circumvent this problem. I might as well give it a try.
Thanks,
Sudeep

The information that you need can be found on the IBM WSDD Zone. Search for Barry Searle's articles on usage of WSAD and ANT. There is a downloadable zip file which contains the ANT plugin for WSAD.
There are 3 articles on this topic. And the second one is the one which gives more indepth details on how to write a task script.
Reply if you still need more input.
