I am confused.
We are using WAS 4.0.5 Advance Edition for past 1 year, which need UDB database to install. Since WAS 5.0.2 has arrived, I was wondering whether it is Advance Edition like WAS 4.0.5 or Single Server Edition. We need to know whether we can upgrade from WAS4.0.5 to WAS 5.0.2.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what your question is. WAS5 does not use a relational database for server administration, whether you are using on server or many servers. In that respect, it is more like WAS4 Single Server edition.
If you want help with how WAS5 might apply in your situation, it might help to describe your topology, whether your applications use the UDB directly, whether they use special features like messaging beans, etc.
If you want to dig into this yourself, you might start in the websphere section of ibm.com/redbooks . The first few chapters of the WAS 5 System Management and Configuration handbook, SG24-6195-00, talk about what's new in V5, and might help you decide what other documents to look at.
