Currently, the latest WebSphere Application Server version is 5.0.2, and the latest WebSphere Studio Application Developer is version 5.1, and there is a correspondence, in that the WebSphere Test Environment (WTE) in WebSphere Studio is WAS v5.0.2.
I believe that soon IBM will get the version numbers in alignment, but that is just a rumor at this point in time. Hope this helps.
Regards,

AFAIK WAS 5.1 is still scheduled for release at the end of the month. The candidate release is frozen inside IBM, so it should be any day now.

Supposedly Websphere 5.1 will be available 12/5 for electronic download, 12/30 on CD.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
