Hi everyone,
I am planning to take OCA 8 next week and feel confident on all topics except date time api. I have never used it in practice before and have a little knowledge on it, very little. How many questions on this topic will be on exam roughly? Is it possible to get enough knowledge in 1-2 days to achieve questions on exam? What kind of questions on this topic show up in exam? Thank you so much for your help in advance.

It is an important topic from the exam perspective and you will get at least 3 questions on this topic that will require you to have good knowledge about the new Date API. Besides these, you will see a couple of questions that are not about Date/Time but refer to classes of this package anyway.

Questions on this topic are mostly based on concepts such as Date/Time classes are immutable, method chaining, time zones, and period/duration difference. But they require some memorization of class and method names as well and so, if you haven't used these classes at all before, then it will be difficult to learn in 1-2 days. You might want to go through Section 12.3 Create and manipulate calendar data from Deshmukh's book (it is free download), which covers this topic nicely.

All the best!

(Edited to remove quoted text. Sorry!!)

Thank you Paul for tips and pdf. It looks so straightforward and think it will help me comprehend necessary points till the exam.
