Hello,

Thanks for publishing the book. Head First edition helped me to ace interviews as I can remember and recall concepts easily.
Does this book cover Records, Modules, JLink, and JPackage?
Also, I do not foresee Java dying in the next 10 years as it has community support, a good amount of releases, high performance, and a wide range of libraries. It lags only in the data analytics field. It also lags a little in being developer-friendly (compared to python/Jupyter). The gap is closing with JShell and functional programming. Am I right in my assessment?

Good to see you here, all three of you. Two of you are already familiar faces here. I hope you will have lots of new threads with awkward interesting questions in.

Hi everyone! It's a pleasure to be here

> Does this book cover Records, Modules, JLink, and JPackage?

The book mentions Records and JShell, although we didn't go into them in any depth (specifically with records it's because the feature hasn't been out long, and while we can teach the syntax, it's hard to teach "common practices" for something so new). We thought long and hard about teaching modules, but decided that at this point in time it's not something those starting their journey with Java will need to know. There are already good resources for learning about them later when you need to.

Thank you Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates & Trisha Gee for writing the first "Head First Java" and "Thank You" time n for coming up with this new version.
I really wanted to see new version of "Head First Java".

When I read "Head First Java" for first time I couldn't believe technical books can be so effective, even more so about programming :-)

Best of luck!

Thanks for coming up with this book, Cathy, Bert and Trisha. Your publications have always helped me to solidify my understandings. I had loved Cathy-Bert's Head First Design patterns.

Welcome Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates & Trisha Gee.

Thank you for this latest, long overdue edition of Head First Java.

To my Queen and King of Java, Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates, thank you for the earlier Editions and also for creating the Head First Series. I got myself a copy of the 2nd Edition and it made me understand key foundational concepts in Java in a fun yet serious way. If only all programming books were just like the Head First series...

I hope Trisha Gee will become my Princess in Java after I manage to get a copy of this latest edition, so she can also become Java royalty 🙂.

Thanks again guys for this new edition, I can't wait to read it.
