Hello,

Im new to WSAD 5.0 and creating a simple web application using it. This application will have JSPs and Servlets. I started the project with following steps.

1.Created Web Project userAdmin under Web Modules. This project was created with new enterprise application project MSEnterprise

2.Added MSEnterprise to Server MSServer

3.Created new JSP file main.jsp by right clicking on Web Modules userAdmin New Other Web JSP File

I was wondering how to run main.jsp on server and view it via browser. I really appreciate any help. Please let me know if Im doing something wrong.

Thank You

Dilipkumar,
Right click the jsp and select "run on server." That is a good time to make a note of the URL in case you want to go directly.

This will open the jsp in WSADs test browser. You can set an external browser in the workspace preferences.

Thanks for the response.

I could see main.jsp under C:\My Documents\IBM\wsappdevie\workspace\userAdmin\Web Content. I could see this page in one of the windows in WSAD where I can edit and preview this file. But I don't see this file listed in J2EE Hierarchy (Web Modules\userAdmin). Any ideas ?

Thanks

Dilipkumar,
I think only servlets show up in that list. I don't remember ever seeing my JSPs there.

Jeanne,
You are right. J2EE Hierarchy is not showing list of JSPs. But I could see them using J2EE Navigator.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
