Hi all!
Since September Oracle changed the way to register for its certification exams, including the Java OCP 17 Developer which is the one I am preparing, but I could not find any documentation about where to actually take the exam.
I know there is the option to take it from home office, but what about going to an exam center in person?
Is this still a valid option? If so, are the recognized exam centers the same as before?
Does anyone know?

Thanks for the info,
Cheers,
Ilenia

Hi,

From what I read, I'm afraid they don't offer this option anymore.
I hope this is temporary, maybe until Oracle gives access to its own facilities.

But I wouldn't count on it at the moment.
Too bad, I wanted to do it in person too.

Can you provide the link to where you read about the exam only being available online? I took mine in person.

It seems people who registered before August 31 can still do it in person.
When did you register?

Hi!
I have recently opened a ticket to Oracle asking that and I got confirmation that you can take the exam only online now.
It's a pity! I would have preferred to take it in person.

Cheers,
Ilenia

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with the registration process recently?

I browsed Oracle's website and was not able to buy a voucher.
I always end up on the same page, it's driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Guillaume

My bad, I only saw "Cloud," but it says "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Technology Exams"

Almost there...

hi, do you know thought, if they allow to have a piece of paper, or all notes must be done only online ? If they made such a change, imho they should allow to have just one blank piece of paper t. It is so much faster doing notes on paper then online during this kind of tests.

They can't allow paper because then you'd be able to keep something after the exam. Whereas in the exam center, the proctor took the writing materials after.

I like writing on paper too, but I do understand that. I don't know if it is true, but I heard someone say there isn't even an online scratchpad. I've been trying to get confirmation on that one way or the other.
