I have a Struts/JSP application that I'm developing with the combination of Eclipse 3.0 and Apache Tomcat 4.1. I'm using Struts 1.1 as the controller and JSP as the view with a custom model. Since the application is complete enough to get user feedback, I wanted to have it deployed to our test server (running Websphere 5). The application is running fine off of my PC, but not on the test server.

It gets past my welcome page (index.jsp) which does a redirect to login.jsp. Instead of showing that page, however, it shows an "Error 500: End of content reached while more parsing required: tag nesting error?" message. Has anyone encountered this error before?

The problem seemed to be the <html:html> Struts tag. Although that tag is handled correctly in Tomcat and in WAS 6, WAS version 5.1 doesn't like it (at least as used by my application). Once I switched all of the <html:html> tags to <html> (and the end tags too), then it worked.
