I'm going to be a smart ass, and ask why would you want to do this? It's not really important, but it has me curious since WebSphere can do anything Tomcat can do, why you wouldn't just use WebSphere.

To answer your question, you need to install an application server connector and configure both applications to talk to each other (or bypass to each other). I've done this with Microsoft IIS and Tomcat, but not Tomcat and WebSphere, although I imagine the process is very similar. I searched the internet for you and came up with nothing, which either means IBM doesn't normally support this, or no one's written an integration guide yet (so if you work this out maybe you'd want to write/post one...). I know WebSphere Community Edition definitely supports this, but other than that I can't help you.

I can say that even when I successfully integrated Microsoft IIS and Tomcat, the steps were long and painful, and finding information at the time (years ago) was scarce. Good luck!
