admin console is not working

I am not able to see the admin console for websphere v6 whenever I request for the page it gives me the error
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable
The url i am using is http://localhost:9062/admin

usually admin console are like https://localhost:9043/admin

Can you try that?

Even using HTTPS url tht you forwarded it is still not working , I am using Webspshere v6 Application Server . Please help me ...

Can you try
http://localhost:9060/ibm/console/
and tell if that works.

For Websphere 5 the default port for the admin server is 9090. It's possible the same is true for WS6. But maybe your administrator changed it. You could ask, I suppose.

Actually i have installed the websphere v6 but i dont remember the port no for admin console so how to get the port no now i am totally confused

check for serverindex.xml file in
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\default\config\templates\servertypes\APPLICATION_SERVER

If u reinstall WAS 6.0 then http://localhost:9060/ibm/console should work for you.

Thanks for all those help but i feel the websphere which i am using is lightweight and doesnt have support for admin console . I am Extremly sorry guys

What version is it called? I wsa under the impression the admin console was in all recent versions of WAS.
