hi, can someone enlighten me on how to configure custom properties using wsadmin tool?
.
i know how to do this in websphere admin console: install rar, add j2c connection factory, and under additional properties, in the custom properties area i can specify some of the properties such as the hostname, datastore and portnumber.
.
my problem is that i'm writing a jacl scrip to do all this and i know how to install the rar file and create a connection factory for the resource adapter but can't seem to figure out/find any resources in configuring the custom properties. i need to configure at least the hostname, datastorename and portnumber for this to work.
.
thanks in advance...

hi Don,

I got your point, i am also looking the same in wsadmin but on google
i got this link which gives me some jacl script and editing them according
to my requirement and run. The link is-
http://www.skywayradio.com/tech/WAS51/jacl/

This way could be wrong but i am also finding right way and
let me know if you get some useful stuff related to this.

hi nitin, thanks for the reply and the link...unfortunately i've done some extensive research on that site, skywayradio.com, but am just not finding the information that i'm looking for...or i could be just not completely understanding how it's done since i've just given this task a few weeks ago with no previous knowledge of jacl and minial websphere admin skills, so trying to do this through wsadmin tool has been tough for certain tasks...
.
you said you were able to work it correctly, could you provide further hints for me?

hi don,

If you are not able to write jacl script then i think you should start
learning the basic of jacl becoz i had started in the same way by
running commands on wsadmin> prompt like $AdminConfig get Cell,
$AdminControl list and all these method you will get in jacl script
of that link. Once you get the idea of basic then you will be able to
understand the looping, structure and flow of one jacl script.
