How to add and empty header option in a select list using database table as options.

I was confused about all those "th:" attributes, I'm guessing that these are from the Thymeleaf add-on. We're going to have to assume that you are, in fact, managing that page according to Thymeleaf's requirements, just as a JavaServer Faces page "doesn't work" if you attempt to render it without using JSF.
