Can somebody tell me how to turn on the security in Websphere, using admin console of WSAD 5.1?

Which security do you want to turn on?

If you open the "Security" section and select "Global Security" there's a checkbox whose description is "Enables security for this WebSphere domain". Was that what you had in mind, or some other security?

Thank you very much Sir. This is what I had in mind. But when I check this check box and click OK button it is showing me an error which reads
Validation failed for user Admin. Please try again...
Any idea?

Seems you have not set user registry, .. you have to select user registry (OS, custom or LDAP) and accordingly input a valid userid and password. The easiest one would be OS, and provide a local OS userid/password to complete security setup.
