Hi,
I want to configure Web Sphere 6.0.1 server for JMS Provider,
Actually our requirement is we are using oracle queue, and one procedure at database side put the message into oracle queue,
Now we want to dequeue this message by java program using JMS.

I am new in JMS so dont have much Idea.

Can any one help me to configure server for JMS ?

Thanks in Advance.

Check out following link for simple JMS resource configurations on WAS v6
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0504_barcia/0504_barcia.html

But you mentioned about using Oracle Queues....so it has to be a non-websphere jms provider.... if so, you need to have JMS Client which you can find @ http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24012804

Good luck,

Cheer's

Thanks Kanthi for Help!

For development purpose I am using RAD6.0 and I am using WAS 6.0.0.0 that is incorporated with the RAD itself. and I want the communication between WAS and Oracle AQ,
I have the following confusions:
1)Where is the JMS server in Oracle or with WAS.
2)And if it is with oracle, then what are the basic steps to configure it for WAS JMS client.
3)Or we need the JMS server both side(Oracle as well as WAS side)

As I m new in JMS,So don't have much idea about all this.

Thanks

Pl. see my comments on your bullet points......

1) WAS does have a messaging infrastructure called SIBus (Service Integration Bus).... I am not sure about Oracle though...
2)Pl. check JMS Client link that I provided in earlier post....that has clear steps to do this.
3) Not knowing your scenario, I can't really comment on this...... but in general yes, you do need to have messagin infrastructure on both ends for most of the messaging scenarios that I worked with.

Good luck.

Cheers
