All,

I would like to know that, in Websphere how to change the file encoding property in WS 6 ?

We have tried the following:
Have change the batch script startServer.bat by adding file.encoding property.
Have change the encoding.properties file by adding en=encodingname

After that,restarted the server.
But no effect happened.

Please let us know about how to change and make reflect the file encoding changes in WS 6.

Thank you

Regards
Baseet Ahmed

All,

We have got the solution for this.
Go to Admin console window.
In that,go to Servers,Application server,servername, in that
you will find Java and Process Management link
Click on that link, then, click Process Definition, then click JVM,page will be opened,in that, you will find one text box with label Generic JVM Arguments ,give your file encoding property value
-Dfile.encoding=desiredvalue

Click Apply or OK. Then save the changes to Master config.
Give a restart to server. Thats it!

Concerned persons can close it now.

Thank you
