Hi all,
I tried to install a plugin for RAD 7 by putting it in the plugins folder (C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP70\plugins) but I did not work. I tried the same plugin with Eclipse and it worked fine. Is there a different plugin folder?

What is up with that? Did IBM remove the ability to add plugins with RAD 7??

Thanks,
Jehan

The safest and best way to add plugins to RAD is to use the Help->Software Updates->Find and install option from the menu. See if you can find the Eclipse update site for your plugin and add the site as a new remote site. Once you do this, you should be able to add the plugin provided it's compatible with the release of Eclipse that RAD is using. That's one reason this method is safer because it checks for compatibility first rather than just dropping in the plugin.

Thanks for the advice. Do you know if there is such a plugin for Hibernate?

I believe the update site for hibernate tools is:

http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/

Just follow the above instructions, adding this site as a new remote site and then searching for updates on that site.

I dont think jboss tools plug ins are available for RAD 7.5

If you have found them for RAD 7.5 please share the repository url to me. Thanks, Nitin

Currently this plugin is available only for eclipse indigo and one another not for RAD as per my observation.
