Ok heres the predicament:

My Team recently updated to using WAS 6.1 servers for all our projects. We use RSA 7.0 for our IDE. The problem being that everytime we need to create a new workspace we need to create the server from scratch and configure all the drivers and datasources. There is an option for using "Jython" to create an administrative script to generate a server... but with no examples....so heres my question: does anyone know of any example scripts for creating WAS 6.1 servers, perhaps an example with datasource creation?

Thanks in advance everyone = )

Pikaz,
I haven't used Jython yet, so I can't address this directly. I do want to mention there is another option. You can export your server as a .car file and import it onto the other machines. This preserves the datasources and drivers. Just be sure not to have anything deployed on the server when you do the export.

Hi Pikaz,
I have one example script.
This example creates and modifies a server, loads an application
onto the server, and starts the server.
Hope this will be helpful in finding your way out.
save the following code in a file like ex1.py

Cheers!!

Ricky.

Thank you so much for replying. thank you for the example script it will be a great help. Now as for exporting the server as a .car file, how do I do this? I don't see it under the standard exports, this would be a fast viable solution...
