Hi all,
I am using jakarta-tomcat-5.0.24. when i load some external libraray in my application, then my applcation dies. then i have to restart the server. i found that it has to do something with tomcat memory. i have given CATALINA_OPTS as Xmx256m, but that didnt solve the problem.

please help me to sort out this issue.

Thanks and Regards..

are you using Apache webserver in front? There is a know memory leak with using jk and late versions of 5.0.x. I think it had to do with JMX registration.

5.0.26 is currently beta, but is purported to be the version where the memory leak 'fix is in'.

Also, you should be setting JAVA_OPTS, not CATALINA_OPTS
