I have tomcat 5.0.28 running on a Linux machine (Redhat 9). The application running in this servlet container are called via apache web server(2.0.52) thro' the connector (mod_jk).

After a period of inactivity, the server doesn't respond to
requests. The process is alive but the requests are not attended. There is no firewall in between tomcat and web server.

Get the following error in mod_jk log
can't receive the response message from tomcat, network problems or tomcat is down, err=-2

Can you please inform how this problem could be solved?
