Hi all,
In my web application I have made my session inactive time interval to 15 mints. I want to notify the user so that before 5 mints to session expire I will alert the user. If he wants to extend his session he can say yes to the alert, If the user says Yes then I will just submit a dummy JSP page so that the inactive time interval is again 15 mints.
So now the user has 15 more mints to work in the application. This approch works for couple of time but after 2nd or 3rd time, the session expires. Why is that? I am totally confused. Can someone please explain me why this is happening.

I have one more doubt. I made a session not to expire by giving max inactive time interval to -1, if I close the browser window will this session expire or not

Thanks in advance
