Restricting request threads in Tomcat

For each request a thread is created in Tomcat or any other multithreaded server.I want to know that ,is there is any way I can restrict the maximum number of threads that are allowed at a time by using some configuration in Tomcat.

Look at the maxThreads attribute of the HTTP Connector:
