Hi

for sending a mail standalone programe its working fine following code.

public static void main(String args[])
{
 
try{
Properties p = System.getProperties();
p.put("mail.smtp.host","***************");
p.put("mail.smtp.port","25");
 
Session s = Session.getDefaultInstance(p);
 
Message msg = new MimeMessage(s);
 
msg.setFrom(new InternetAddress("[e-mail]"));
 
msg.setRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO,new InternetAddress("[e-mail]"));
 
msg.setSubject("hi pradeep ");
 
Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
 
 
BodyPart bp = new MimeBodyPart();
bp.setText("Hello ");
 
mp.addBodyPart(bp);
 
msg.setContent(mp);
 
Transport t = s.getTransport("smtp");
 
t.send(msg);
System.out.println("Mail has sent======");
}
catch(Exception e)

e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}

when i applied for a servlet controller i am getting this type of exception

[STDOUT] ERROR.....javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed;
nested exception is:
class javax.mail.MessagingException: Exception reading response;
nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
please help me out
