Deploying an app to Tomcat

I'm having problems getting a very simple app (html form) to deploy to tomcat. I'm using the "copy directory structure" method.

I have a dir called webApp and under that I have the html form (form.html) and the WEB-INF dir. The WEB-INF dir has the classes, lib and web.xml. That's all very simple. I just want Tomcat to display the html form at first. Once I get that working I can start adding on but for now I can't even do that!

The Tomcat documentation said that the copy method works but you have to stop and start Tomcat for it to pick it up. I've done that too and still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

BTW, I'm using Tomcat 6.0.

Thanks again.

Where did you put this "webApp" directory?
What URL are you using when trying to access the HTML page?

The URL is: http://localhost:8080/Beer-v1/form.html

The dir stgructure is: C:\Tomcat 6.0\apache-tomcat-6.0.10\webapps\Beer-v1

BTW, this is an example from the Head First Servlet and JSP

Thanks

There must be some kind of trick with Tomcat 6.0! I uninstalled 6.0 and installed 5.5 and copyed over the same directory structure and files and it works fine.

If anyone knows what the trick is for 6.0 I would appreciate it.

Thanks
